92 pts  - J Dusi Wines 2018 Zinfandel Dante Dusi Vineyard

Drinking window: 2022 - 2031

Inky purple. Ripe, expansive cassis, cherry and vanilla qualities on the spice-accented nose. Broad and fleshy on the palate, offering bitter cherry, dark berry and floral pastille flavors that show no rough edges. Smooth, even tannins lend shape to a long, smoky finish that features lingering spice and dark fruit notes.

93 pts  - Paper Street Vineyards 2017 Zinfandel

Drinking window: 2023 - 2032

Deep, brilliant purple. Ripe dark fruit and floral aromas take on vanilla and baking spice nuances as the wine opens up. Juicy and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry, blueberry, cola and spice-cake flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Shows fine clarity and spicy lift on the sharply focused, persistent finish, which features velvety tannins and repeating florality.

92 pts - Paper Street Vineyards  2017 The Narrator

Drinking window: 2022 - 2030

Dark ruby. Ripe, spice-tinged black raspberry, cherry-vanilla and woodsmoke qualities on the deeply perfumed nose. Palate-coating red and dark berry preserve and spice-cake flavors are lifted and sharpened by a smoky mineral flourish. Concentrated and lively as well, finishing on a youthfully tannic note, with strong tenacity and lingering candied violet and spice notes.

93 pts - Paper Street Vineyards  2017 Mourvèdre Cornflower Blue

Drinking window: 2023 - 3032

Opaque ruby. Deeply perfumed, spice-accented aromas of blackberry, cherry compote, violet and vanilla; a mineral nuance builds in the glass. Juicy and densely packed but lively as well, showing fine definition and heft to the sweet black/blue fruit, floral pastille, mocha and spice-cake flavors. Delivers a solid punch and closes with outstanding clarity and a hint of succulent herbs on a very long, gently tannic finish.
