2013 Syrah (Caterina's Vineyard)

Yielding from another Dusi Family vineyard located in the Templeton Gap AVA, the complex nose of this wine leads with traces of smoked bacon and vanilla bean. Flavors of bright red fruit and Bing cherry illuminate the palate, rounded off by an herbal finish.

Appellation Paso Robles
Vineyard Caterina’s Vineyard was planted in 2000 by my brother Matt Dusi, who to do this day, farms the vineyard with his wife and two children. This west side hilltop vineyard is planted in the French Cote-Rotie style, which protects the varietals delicate canes from the strong coastal winds. Very low-yielding, this 7-acre block of Syrah has both East and West facing slopes, thus adding to the fruits complexity.
